Kick-starting with an Invention Test

Notes

Ambreen Aziz inspired this one.

We set up a kick-start session for respondents to get to know a new product idea before going away to think about it (at home, in context) and then returning to take part in a co creation sessions.

We needed to prime respondents to think creatively about the idea/ product, and so we played the ‘invention test’ game – giving respondents 20 basic food ingredients, giving them 2 minutes and asking them to design a dish for the group to eat with 4 of the 20 ingredients.

It worked, a great way to warm up a group and get their minds stretched out and warmed up…

And PS the kick-starter session was a nice way to bond a group and get them ruminating before the main event of the co creation.
